WELCA

God has gifted us and calls us to use these gifts for the good of all. We make quilts (over 75/year!) to be distributed worldwide to disaster areas/victims through Lutheran World Relief and local organizations, assemble personal care and infant kits, partner with local food pantries and service agencies to provide for those in need, visit and help the homebound, pray for those in need, offer worship at a local nursing facility, support mission and development work around the world, and much, much more! The women’s group, women’s circle, and many members provide additional service by providing frequent meals and many more occasional and seasonal activities.

Quilts and Care Kits

WELCA creates Lutheran World Relief’s (LWR) Quilts & Kits to provide families around the world some of life’s essentials, as well as a reminder that they are not alone. The women make at least 80 quilts annually, as well as collect items for about 30 baby care kits and 40 health care kits. In addition, they have monthly projects for other community needs, both locally and for other outreach needs.
