2024 Walsburg Lutheran Church donations to Lutheran World Relief:
153 Quilts, 41 Personal Care Kits, and 40 Baby Care Kits.

Mark your calendar to attend “A Taste of Sweden” breakfast featuring Swedish pancakes & lingonberries, link sausages, pickled herring, bread and pastries, juice and coffee on Saturday, April 13, from 8-11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend and free will donations will be accepted.

2023 Cookie Walk

Built on a Rock

A new history of Walsburg Lutheran Church, Built on a Rock, was released in October, 2023, at the 150th Anniversary Celebration banquet. The 410 page book is available for sale and can be ordered through our website. The cost of the book is $25 (cash or check). All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the church.

The book was written by Loretta M. Hoerman, with contributions from Lisa Peck,
(wife of former Walsburg pastor Rev. Dr. Michael Peck), and Amy Feigley.

The book is divided into three parts:
Part I gives a comprehensive chronological review of the history of the church from before its founding through part of its 150th year.
Part II provides biographies of Walsburg’s pastors, founding members, and pioneer families. This section includes photographs of Walsburg’s veterans, past and present, and photographs of current church members.
Part III gives a brief history of Walsburg school and the village of Walsburg.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s
For the past five years (2018-2022), the Walsburg Walkers have participated in Manhattan’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This group annually raises between $500-$1,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s vision of “A World Without Alzheimer’s and All Other Dementias!”
